The History Press Organisation, University of Ibadan has made a call for the submission of articles for her annual magazine publication. The Magazine is an annual publication of the Press Organisation that addresses valiant issues pertaining to African development as a whole.
The theme for this year’s edition is ‘UAMSHO’ (Revival). According to the Editor’s statement, “Uamsho is a Swahili word which means revival and in light of this era of intellectual moribundity, Africa needs Uamsho, we all need Uamsho!”
With Africa being the central theme of our idea, the categories of entries expected are Art, Poetry, Photojournalism, Fiction, Essay, Academic writing, Opinion, and so on.
Submissions should be made to
shsnpress@gmail.com with the subject: “2023 Magazine Submission”, with not more than 1,500 words and a brief bio of the writer (not more than 50 words) should be added to the mail.
Contributions are expected from student journalists, lecturers, postgraduate students and undergraduate students who are writers. The deadline for submission is 20th March 2023
